Derby, VT—Community National Bank (CNB) President and CEO Kathryn Austin is proud to announce the promotion of Nikole Brainard to Vice President and Controller.
Nikole started her banking career in 1995 working as a Teller in the Derby Office and joined the Finance team in 2012. In 2020, she was named Asset Liability Manager and in 2021, she was named Financial Reporting Officer and Asset Liability Manager. In November 2022, Nikole was promoted to Assistant Vice President and Finance Manager. During her banking career, Nikole has earned the Certified Teller designation, General Banking Diploma and Bank Operations Diploma from The Center for Financial Training and Education Alliance. She is a graduate of the Northern New England School of Banking and holds a BS in Accounting and an MBA in Finance from Southern New Hampshire University.
Nikole’s passion for community shows as she chairs the board of Derby Elementary School, is a board member and Chair of the Finance Committee for RuralEdge and is Treasurer for North Country Union High School Band Booster Club. Nikole resides in Derby with her husband Lindsay and their three rescue dogs.
